VIII World Rett Syndrome Congress
May 13-15, 2016
III Institute for intellectual integrations became media partner of the VIII World Rett Syndrome Congress, which was opened on May 13, 2016 in the Russian city of Kazan.
The participants of the congress are scientists and experts from Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, Poland, Slovakia, Israel, the Netherlands, Russia, Japan, USA and Australia, who are studying the medical, psychological, social and pedagogical aspects of the rare disease of Rett syndrome, as well as children suffering from Rett syndrome and their parents.
Among the leading speakers and guests were Professor, PhD Thomas Bertrand (France); Dr Helen Leonard (Australia); Professor PhD Ivan Y Iourov (Russia); Professor MD Alan Percy (USA); Professor MD Sakkubai Naidu (USA); Professor, MD, PhD Yoshiko Nomura (Japan) and others.
The aim of the congress is to discuss the latest research, the prospects for genetic research and treatment, familiarity with new domestic and foreign practice of diagnosis, rehabilitation, social support, and counseling for children with Rett syndrome and their families.
The scientific team from III Institute for intellectual integrations presented an alternative method of communication – the method of resonant co-creation (MRC: Resonante Cokreation, Sibgatullina I. / Grüssl S., 2002). The authors of this method are Univ. Prof. Dr.Dr. Sibgatullina Irina F. (Kazan, Russland - Wien, Österreich) and Mag. Stefanie Grüssl (Wien, Österreich). The method of resonant co-creation can be applied in the complex rehabilitative care for children suffering from Rett syndrome to establish stable emotional contact and stabilization of the reduction/downshift index of the mental development.
The method is based on the natural sciences and psychobiological understanding of resonance (fr.: resonanse, lat.: resono - resound) as a phenomenon of a sharp increase in the amplitude of the forced oscillation, which occurs under the frequency of external exposure to certain values (resonant frequencies), defining the system properties. In the method of resonant co-creation (MRC: Resonante Cokreation, Sibgatullina I. / Grüssl S., 2002) the artistic image performs a special mission. The method is based on the phenomenon of selective perception of images of children suffering from Rett syndrome. The artistic image appears through a stimulus / driving force and the perception, in fact, through the oscillating system. When working with children suffering from Rett syndrome, the resonance phenomenon appears when at a certain frequency of the driving force examining bright artistic images, the oscillating system of the brain is particularly responsive to the action of this force. As the main preconditions of perception of images/art, the method of resonant co-creation (MRC: Resonante Cokreation, Sibgatullina I. / Grüssl S., 2002) considers the relevant degree of formation of the prefrontal cortex, under the advantages of hemispheric activation.
The congress will continue until May 17th.
